Four of us - plus Jeb's new rescue puppy - drove to Tarland on Friday afternoon to walk up Pittenderich again. The last time we had tackled this hill was back in January 2018. On that occasion, we took a slightly more circular route, whereas this time it was a bit more direct. Compare and contrast:
It was definitely a better return route we took this time. The other main differences were that we started in the Square this time, whereas in 2018, we'd driven up to Douneside House first - and secondly that we had to trudge through deep snow at the top this time - that was hard work.
